MBBS, MRCP, MD, MRCGP – Dr Joseph joined The Kakoty Practice in 2008, he specialises in long-term condition management.

Dr Ghergus has joined The Kakoty Practice in June 2023 and will be working on a full-time basis. His special interest is in musculoskeletal problems and he offers joint injections.

Dr Balint has joined the practice in June 2023 and is working on Monday's and Thursdays. Her special interest is in Dermatology.

Helen is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner who has joined the practice team in November 2020. She can prescribe medication, issue sick notes, and request investigations. She has a special interest in women's health, perinatal follow-up, and contraception. Helen also undertakes cancer care review, learning disability and mental health review.

RGN, Nurse Prescriber – Karen offers a broad range of long-term condition management including anticoagulant screening, cervical smears, spirometry, menopause reviews, medication reviews. 

Madi completed her healthcare apprentice in September 2021 and is now a Nursing Associate. She is able to do blood tests, blood pressure checks, Diabetic and Hypertension reviews. She is also responsible for doing Telederm images and New Patient Health Check, as well as the NHS health checks. 

Nicola is our GP assistant. Her role is to provide support with some administrative and basic clinical duties, to improve patients experience in the surgery. You may be booked an appointment with Nicola if you require a blood test, blood pressure check, Flu vaccination etc. 

Christopher is our Health and Wellbeing Coach. He works with patients to help them manage their health and wellbeing in a way that best suits the patient. He can provide support with several different areas, including weight management, support with diet etc.

Julie has oversight of all administration and services offered by the practice.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Alison is the repesentative for the practice for Social Prescribing.  This offers an individually tailored service for leading a healthier lifestyle.  mybest.life@syha.cjsm.net

Rebecca is our Care Coordinator. Her role is to work with patients, carers and other healthcare providers to understand the needs of the patients and to direct them to the right support, advice and information.

Aisha is a Physician Associate. Her role is to see patients under the supervision of doctors, to provide patient care, such as history taking, clinical assessment and making diagnoses.

Medicines Specialist, Qualified Pharmacist Prescriber – has a special interest in elderly care, long-term conditions and safe use of medicines.  Kirtan is based part-time in the practice.  Patients can book an appointment or telephone consultation with him by contacting our reception.

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under 5 years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.  They can be contacted on 08006126221
